Learning to drive is an important step in becoming independent. The driving schools below have been recommended by families with students with disabilities.

Ability KC

Individuals at Ability KC participate in a variety of clinical and behind the wheel assessments for the most accurate and industry recognized outcomes. The Ability KC Driving Program offers evaluations for individuals with goals of returning to driving following a diagnosis, wish to continue driving as their needs change or those learning to drive for the first time.

Bi-State Driving School

Bi-State Driving School enjoys an excellent record since 1982 and backed by years of experience in the Driver Education. Bi-State's superb reputation in drivers education institution has proved to be the reason our steady growth into one of the largest Driving Schools in the Kansas City area.

JCCC Drivers Education Class

At JCCC, the Drivers Education classes will prepare new drivers of all ages to be safe on the road. Both Kansas and Missouri residents can participate in JCCC's courses. All Driver Education instructors at JCCC are certified Kansas state educators with valid teaching endorsements.

Johnny Rowlands Driving Schools

Johnny Rowlands Driving School provides one-on-one driving instruction and a same day learners permit. This school will provide accommodations to students with disabilities such as anxiety, reading disabilities, etc.

Schuetz Driving School

Schuetz Driving School is committed to providing our students with the highest quality instruction. Our philosophy is for our instructors to teach driving skills in a friendly, caring way. We believe that a patient, positive approach will help students to relax and enjoy learning this very important skill.
