What To Do After Turning 18

Kansas Medicaid pays for medical services for children and their caretakers, pregnant women, and persons who are disabled, blind or 65 years of age or older.
Kansas Rehabilitation Services offers a variety of vocational rehabilitation (VR) services to help Kansas citizens with disabilities meet their employment goals.
Once a student turns 18, they become their own legal guardian. Parents will need to learn more about their legal options if they believe their student will be unable to evaluate and make legal, medical, or financial decisions once they turn 18.
